Rosemary Bayer is a lifelong Michigander with a family history of public service -- her father is a former Mayor of New Baltimore. Bayer is running in an open seat to help Democrats break a GOP supermajority in the State Senate.

After a long career in business technology, including 15 years with Sun Microsystems, Bayer founded ardentCause L3C, a database technology company. She holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Math from Central Michigan University and an MBA from Lawrence Technological University.
